I never appreciated this guy at all and in fact flat out didnt like him. I just figured he was a good baseball player from a baseball family name that inherited his annual all star accolades. Looking back at his statistics and career accolades I now realize I was way off and he was/is the baseball family name. In my opinion he is the best ever SS to play the game. I am sure a lot of people would put Derek Jeter at the top, but if you put their stats side by side Ripken's blow his away. He was unbelievable and I just thought I would pay him some respect on here.
